AMARANDO, Louis J., a Representative from Philadelphia County; born in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa., September 26, 1915; graduated, South Philadelphia High School; attended, American Institute of Banking; accountant; insurance broker; member, 26th Ward Democratic Executive Committee; vice president, Broad Street Trust Company; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1949 term; reelected to the House for 4 more consecutive terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1958); elected, delegate, Democratic National Convention (1956, 1960); chief clerk, Quarter Sessions Court, Philadelphia (1957-1969; appointed, 1958; elected, 1959-1969); died, October 23, 1969 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.
