KESTER, Stanley R., a Representative from Delaware County; born in Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, Pa., May 21, 1929; graduated, Boothwyn High School (now Chichester High School), 1947; served, Second Infantry Division, United States Army (1947-1948 and 1950-1951, Korean War); employee, Sun Oil Company Refinery; member, Chester County Republican Committee Executive Board; police officer, Chester Township (3 years); elected, justice of the peace (6 years);  tax assessor, Delaware County (1963-1964); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1965 term and served 4 consecutive terms thereafter; appointed, Legislative Budget and Finance Committee (1969-1974); unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1974); elected, council, Chester Township (31 years); died, June 22, 2020 in Chester Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania.
