O’CONNELL, Frank J., Jr., a Representative from Luzerne County; born in Larksville, Luzerne County, Pa., December 26, 1923; graduated, St. Mary’s High School; served, United States Army (2 years); restaurateur; elected, council, Kingston Borough (1960-1971); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1967 term and served 5 more consecutive terms; elected, House Minority Caucus Chairman (1975-1976); appointed, Joint State Government Commission (1975-1976); not a candidate for reelection to the House (1978); elected, Pennsylvania State Senate (1979-August 31, 1985); appointed, Pennsylvania Commission on Interstate Cooperation (1979-1980); appointed, Legislative Budget and Finance Committee (1979-1984); died, January 31, 2004 in Port St. Lucie, St. Lucie County, Florida.
