SCHULZE, Richard Taylor, a Representative from Chester County; born in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa., August 7, 1929; graduated, Haverford High School, 1948; attended, University of Houston, 1948-1949; attended, Villanova University, 1968; attended, Temple University, 1968; served, United States Army (1951-1953, Korean War); partner, retail appliance business; member, Chester County Republican Executive Committee; chair, Tredyffrin Township Republican Committee; elected, register of wills and clerk of the Orphans Court, Chester County (1968-1970); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1971 and 1973 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1974); elected, United States Congress (1975-1993); appointed, Presidential Advisory Committee on Federalism (Reagan Administration); appointed, board member, the National Fish and Wildlife Federation (G.H.W. Bush Administration).
