THOMAS, Reno H., a Representative from Snyder and Union Counties; born in Beavertown, Snyder County, Pa., July 11, 1922; graduated, Beaver Vocational High School, 1940; B.S., agricultural education, The Pennsylvania State University, 1943; vocational agricultural teacher (1944-1945); purebred swine breeder (1954-1998); member, Beavertown School District Board of Directors (15 years); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1969 term and served 5 more consecutive terms; appointed, Select Committee to Investigate the State Water Plan (1974); unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1980); died, August 17, 2009 in Beavertown, Snyder County, Pennsylvania.
