LEVIN, Stephen E., a Representative from Philadelphia County; born in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa., June 3, 1932; graduated, Overbrook High School; B.S., economics, University of Pennsylvania, 1953; LL.B., University of Pennsylvania Law School, 1958; served, United States Army (1953-1955); attorney; chair, 52nd Ward Democratic Executive Committee (1970-1978); special assistant, Office of Attorney General, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (1971-1977); elected, delegate, Democratic National Convention (1976); elected as a Democrat in a Special Election to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, November 8, 1977 to serve the remaining 1977 term; Sworn-In, November 28, 1977 and reelected for 4 consecutive terms thereafter; appointed, Legislative Audit Advisory Commission (1981-1986); resigned from the House, January 6, 1986; elected, judge, Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas, Philadelphia County (1986-present; senior judge, 2001-present).
