DIETZ, Clarence E., a Representative from Bedford, Fulton and Huntingdon Counties; born in Turtle Creek, Allegheny County, Pa., April 17, 1919; graduated, Mann’s Choice High School, 1938; graduated, Sinclair Insurance School, 1945; attended, Thompson Business College; attended, Loyola University; sergeant, 1020th Base Unit, Air Corps, United States Army (World War II); director, Bedford County Civil Defense; elected, treasurer, Bedford County (1956-1959); director, Bedford County Veterans Affairs; appointed, Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (1966); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1975 term and served 5 more consecutive terms,; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1986); died, June 23, 1993 in the borough of Bedford, Bedford County, Pennsylvania; interred, Cuppett Family Cemetery, New Paris, Bedford County, Pennsylvania.
