MAIALE, Nicholas J., a Representative from Philadelphia County; born in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa., August 1, 1951; graduated, Central High School, 1969; B.A., The Pennsylvania State University, 1973; J.D., Temple University Law School, 1976; attorney; assistant counsel, Democratic Caucus, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1976-1978); assistant city solicitor, Philadelphia (1978-1980); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives by Special Election on March 11, 1980 to serve the remaining 1979 term; Sworn-In, April 8, 1980 and reelected to 6 consecutive terms thereafter; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1992); appointed, board, Pennsylvania State Employees’ Retirement System (1987-2014; chairman, 1993-2014).
