SHEEHAN, Colleen A., a Representative from Montgomery County; born in Plattsburgh, Clinton County, NY, January 7, 1956; graduated, Willsboro Central School, 1973; B.A., Eisenhower College, 1977; M.A., Claremont Graduate School (now Claremont Graduate University), 1979; Ph.D., Claremont Graduate School, 1986; associate professor of political science, Villanova University (1986-present); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1995 term; unsuccessful candidate for reelection to the House for the 1997 term; author, articles in: The Jane Austen Journal, Persuasions: The Jane Austen Journal On-Line, William and Mary Quarterly, The Review of Politics, American Political Science Review, Widener Journal of Public Law, Interpretation: A Journal of Political Philosophy (1990-2007), visiting associate professor, Princeton University (2006); instructor, Ashbrook Cemtery Masters' Program in American History and Government, Ashland University (2009-present); appointed, Pennsylvania Board of Education (2011-2018); director, Matthew J.
