TAYLOR, John J., a Representative from Philadelphia County; born in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa., April 9, 1955; graduated, Northeast Catholic High School; B.A., University of Central Florida, 1980; J.D., Temple University School of Law, 1984; attorney, Rudolph, Dorian, Goldstein, Rochestie, Wisniewski & Taylor, P.C.; attorney, Pelino & Lentym, P.C.; of counsel, Archer & Greiner, P.C.; elected as a Republican to the House of Representatives for the 1985 term; reelected to the House to serve 16 more consecutive terms; appointed, Legislative Commission on Restructuring Pennsylvania's Urban Schools (1997); appointed, Select Committee on Pharmaceuticals (2000); appointed, Select Committee on Alternatives for the Operation of the Philadelphia International Airport (2000); appointed, co-chair, Joint Select Committee to Examine Election Issues (2001); not a candidate for reelection to the House (2018); director of Pennsylvania, Archer Public Affairs (2019-present).
