VANCE, Patricia H., a Representative from Cumberland County; born in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pa., March 19, 1936; graduated, William Penn High School, 1954; graduated, Harrisburg Hospital School of Nursing, 1957; nurse; elected, recorder of deeds, Cumberland County (1978-1990); member, executive committee, Cumberland County Republican Committee; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1991 term and served 7 consecutive terms thereafter; appointed, Pennsylvania Emergency Management Authority (1991-1996); appointed, Select Committee on Rules Review (1999); appointed, co-chair, Select Committee on Pharmaceuticals (2000); not a candidate for reelection to the House (2004); elected, Pennsylvania State Senate (2005-2016); appointed, Capitol Preservation Committee (2009-2016).
