WANSACZ, James, a Representative from Lackawanna, Luzerne, Susquehanna and Wyoming Counties; born June 8, 1972 in Scranton, Lackawanna County, Pa.; graduated, Lakeland High School, 1990; B.S., business administration and economics, Indiana University of Pennsylvania, 1994; former manager, Heart Lake Lodge, Jermyn, Pa.; unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1998); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in a Special Election, June 20, 2000 to serve the remaining 1999 term; Sworn-In, July 19, 2000 and reelected to 5 more consecutive terms; appointed, Commission on Postsecondary Education for the 21st Century (1999-2000); appointed, Chesapeake Bay Commission (2009-2010); not a candidate for reelection to the House (2010); unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania State Senate (2010); elected, commissioner, Lackawanna County (chair, 2011-2016); consultant and government relations management, Pennsylvania American Water (2016-2017); executive director, Scranton-Lackawanna Human Development Agency, Inc.
