Descendent, Colonel John Bull, of Pennsylvania's 2nd Regiment, American Revolution. June 17, 1777, promoted, Adjutant General, Pennsylvania Militia, Pennsylvania Supreme Executive Council.

Wife, Maria Josepha Boyd, daughter of Captain John Boyd. Born in Chester County, Pennsylvania, February 22, 1750, became a resident of Northumberland in 1778. Among the civil positions with which he was honored, member of the Supreme Executive Council, register and recorder of Northumberland County, and inspector of internal revenue under President George Washington.
