Early Life

Michael Joseph Stack III (D) 5th District Philadelphia (part) County; born June 5, 1963, Washington, D.C., La Salle College High School; La Salle University, 1987; Villanova University School of Law, 1992; JAG School at the University of Virginia and entered United States Army, Judge Advocate General's Corps; captain: Pennsylvania Army National Guard, married Tonya.

Early Career:

Former executive deputy director: Pennsylvania Catastrophic Loss Fund; member: Philadelphia Board of City Trusts, Pennsylvania/Maryland Bar Associations , Chilean & American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Philadelphia, Officer Daniel Boyle Division 88 of Ancient Order of Hibernians, Saint Katharine Drexel K of C, Shaare Shamayim Men’s Club, Somerton Civic Assn., Friends of Pennypack Park; fellow: Pennsylvania  Leadership Academy at the Fells Institute of Government; co-chair:  Philadelphia Veterans Advisory Commission; board of trustees: Temple University

Elected to Pa. Senate 2000, serving four consecutive terms; minority chair: Banking & Insurance

Continued Government Service/National Politics:

33rd Lieutenant Governor of Pennsylvania from November 4, 2014 and sworn in January 20, 2015. Defeated 2018; only Lieutenant Governor of Pennsylvania to lose his renomination bid.

After Legislative Career:

Stack moved to California, where he currently operates as a stand-up comedian under the name "Mikey Stack". Stack's routine involves self-deprecating jokes about his nickname "Mikey", as well as jokes around his mother's cooking and Donald Trump.

Stack's grandfather, the first Michael J. Stack, was a United States Congressman, from 1935 to 1939
