Early Life:

Archibald Robertson, born March 5, 1805, County Tyrone, Ireland; Mathew Robertson and Rebecca Anderson- Robertson-Shaw; came to this country with his parents, 1812; married, Ann Ray Robertson, 1826, children, John B. Robertson, Rebecca Perkins, Amelia Grim, Matthew H. Robertson, James P. Robertson, William Robertson; engaged, Fallston paper mill, 1828-1829; built a steam paper mill, Brighton, on the site now occupied by the freight station, Pittsburg, Fort Wayne & Chicago Railway, Beaver Falls, 1829-1849; built a paper mill, Adamsville, 1849-1864; elected, Whig, Pennsylvania State Senate, 1851-1853; Collector of Internal Revenue, Twenty-fourth District of Pennsylvania, 1866-1869; died, June 19, 1871, Beaver County, Pennsylvania; interment, Grove Cemetery, New Brighton, Beaver County, Pennsylvania.
