Early Life:

Robert D. "Bob" Robbins (R), born in 1944, in Greenville, son of the late Leo and Twila Robbins; Greenville Senior High School, 1962; U.S. Military Academy at West Point (B.S.), 1966; graduate work, East Stroudsburg University; Geneva College (teaching certificate), 1973; married Cynthia Ann.

Early Career:

Former Captain, U.S. Army Infantry, 2 tours of duty, Vietnam; instructor, U.S. Army Ranger School; member, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Veterans, Mercer County Vietnam Vets, Mercer County Voitura 846, American Legislative Exchange Council, French Creek Council, Boy Scouts of America, Moose, Eagles 803, Elk, Stony Point Grange, Adelphic Lodge #424 Free and Accepted Masons.

Awards:

Soldiers Medal for Heroism, Combat Infantry Badge, Bronze Star for Valor, Pa. Chapter National Wrestling Hall of Fame Outstanding Pennsylvanian– 2001.

Pennsylvania Politics:

Pa. House of Representatives, 1983-90; elected to Pa. Senate 1990; Majority Policy Chair, 1997-2000; Majority Caucus Secretary 2001-14; vice-chair, Veterans Affairs & Emergency Preparedness Committee; left office January 1, 2015.
