Born May 6, 1923, Muskogee, OK. Member of the Senate from the 33rd district from 1973-1988, where he served as Caucus Chairman. Member of the Pa House of Representatives from the 86th district 1971-1972.
Bill served as a 1st Lieutenant, Infantry veteran of WW II in the South Pacific and was responsible for rebuilding the air strip (Lactobin) with 350 Japanese prisoners. After WW II he returned to the University of Pa. and studied finance and commerce in the Wharton School. He went on to graduate from the U.S. Army General Staff College and honorably discharged as Lt. Colonel in the U.S. Army reserves.
Senator Moore passed away August 11, 2015 at the age of 92 in New Bloomfield, PA. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Sally Jane Moore.
