Early Life:

David J. “Chip” Brightbill (R), born in 1942, in Lebanon, son of Jonathan and Verda; Penn State University, 1964; Duquesne University School of Law (J.D.), cum laude, 1970; married Donna Long; 4 children.

Early Career:

Attorney, Lebanon Board of School Directors, 1966-67; District Attorney, Lebanon County, 1977-81.

Pennsylvania Politics:

Elected to Pa. Senate 1982; Majority Caucus Secretary, 1985-88; Majority Whip 1989-90, 1997- 2000; elected Majority Policy Chair 1991; Republican chair, 1992-93; vice-chair, Rules and Executive Nominations Committee; member, Appropriations, Game & Fisheries, Judiciary, Environmental Resources & Energy Commission; left office November 30, 2006.
