John D Biddis
Grandson of the founder of Milford, Pa., Pike County, John D. Biddis was the son of Charles R. and Caroline (Wells) Biddis. He studied law with Lucien Barnes and was admitted to the Pike County bar in 1867; elected district attorney, serving 13 years; elected state Senator, 1882-1886; resigned in order to accept the Chief Clerk position in the National Revenue Department, Washington DC; and served a dual role as Assistant US Solicitor. He married Mary D. Armstrong.
