John Smith Futhey, History of Chester County (Everts, 1881)
The son of John and Mary (Harlan) Jackson. Born in Chester November 7, 1789, educated at the Westtown Friends Institute and Enoch Lewis’s boarding school; mathematician; agriculturist; political economist; elected as an Antimason to the state Senate for a single term in 1829. A Quaker Abolitionist.
Died October 29, 1864, Chester, Pa. married Rebecca Taylor, 1819.
