District Attorney, 1948-1952; chair, Pennsylvania Commission on Interstate Cooperation, 1967-1970; state Senate, 13 years, 1957-1970; Policy Committee chair, 1967-1970; elected Chief Clerk, 1971, 1973, 1975; married Clara E. Reagan, June 28, 1950. Senator Kalman died June 9, 2012 in Greensburg, PA and is interred in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
