Born in Somerfield, Somerset County, September 15, 1857, son of William Gilbert and Julia Ann (Watson) Endsley; attended public schools; teacher; merchant; lumber and wheel stock manufacturer; farming and livestock sales; organized the Listonburg Coal Mining Company; Director of the Somerset County National Bank; president of the Yough Coal Company; unsuccessful bid for state Senate 1902; elected to state House of Representatives, 1905-08; elected to state Senate 1910, and died December 27, 1945 in Somerset.
