RICHARDS, Roger, a Representative from Westmoreland County; born, August 20, 1879 in Brookfield, Trumbull County, Oh.; journeyman, Shawnee Journal; employed, Monessen News (1899-1900); bookeeper, Pittsburgh Coal Company (1900-1903); chief clerk, Somers mines, Pittsburgh Coal Company; appointed, council, Monessen (1920); elected, city controller, Monessen (1921-1929); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1922 and 1928; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1924, 1926, 1930); unsuccessful candidate, alderman, 2nd Ward, Monessen (1937); died, August 30, 1943 in Monessen, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.
