LONG, William Wesley, a Representative from Chester County; born in Honeybrook, Chester County, Pa., January 24, 1868; attended, West Chester Normal School (now West Chester University of Pennsylavnia); attended, York Collegiate Institute (now York College of Pennsylvania); attended, Lafayette College; A.B., University of Pennsylvania, 1891; sports editor, Philadelphia Inquirer; sports, city, and news editor, Philadelphia Press; founder, Coatesville Record; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1921, 1923, and 1925 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1927 term; died, March 11, 1953 in Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania; interred, Salem Cemetery, Unityville, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
