FRATT, George Martin, a Representative from Montgomery County; born in Norristown, Montgomery County, Pa., June 24, 1879; served, Company D, 6th Regiment, United States Army (1898, Spanish-American War); first sergeant, Company F, 6th Regiment, Pennsylvania National Guard (15 years); sergeant, Battery C, 107th Field Artillery, United States Army (World War I); elected, council, Norristown; director of public safety, Norristown; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1923 term; reelected to serve 2 more consecutive terms thereafter; not a candidate for reelection to the House in the 1928 General election; elected, sheriff, Montgomery County (1928-1931); contractor; director, Economy Fire and Storm Insurance Company of Pennsylvania; died, July 25, 1947; interred, Riverside Cemetery, Norristown, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
