DIETZ, Sharpless Morgan, a Representative from Montour County; born in Danville, Montour County, Pa., November 15, 1867; educated in public schools; rolling mill employee (1883-1887, 1896-1898); firemen and engineer, T. and P. Railroad, Texas (1887-1896); owner and operator, Glendower House (9 years); proprietor, Riverview Hotel (23 years); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to serve the 1923 and 1925 terms; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House for the 1927 term; director, I. O. O. Moose Lodge; died, January 20, 1931 in Liverpool, Perry County, Pennsylvania; interred, Fairview Cemetery, Danville, Montour County, Pennsylvania.
