ARTHUR, John Edward, a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, December 10, 1869 in Conshohocken, Montgomery County, Pa.; plumber; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1913, 1915, 1917, and 1923 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1919 term; chief, Bureau of City Property, Philadelphia (1918-1920); died while in office, October 19, 1923 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interred, New Cathedral Cemetery, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.
