Samuel Perry White born September 2, 1847, New Brighton, Beaver County, Pennsylvania; son of Thomas Balderston White and Olive Bowen Howland White; public school education; Eastman’s Business College, Poughkeepsie, New York. Engaged, manufacturing; contractor; at age 15, Company C, 56 Regiment, Pennsylvania Militia, Civil War, 1863; married, Lucy Sharp White, 1875, children, Raymond Howland White, Clement S. White; member, Beaver County Republican Committee, 1884, chair, Beaver County Republican Committee, 1885; member, Republican State Committee, 1888; treasurer, Republican State Committee, 1889; elected, Republican, Pennsylvania State Senate, 1895-98; delegate, 1900 Republican State Convention; elected, Republican, Pennsylvania State Senate, 1903-06;  died, August 1, 1918, Homeopathic Hospital, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interment, Grove Cemetery, New Brighton, Beaver County, Pennsylvania.
