O’CONNOR, Albert Leo, Sr., a Representative from Cambria County; born, April 8, 1893 in Jenner Township, Somerset County, Pa.; A.B., St. Francis College; teacher; studied law, offices of Honorable Francis J. O’Connor; completed study of law, offices of Honorable John H. McCann; school director; assessor and solicitor, Loretto Borough; unsuccessful campaign, judge, Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas (1931), judge, Orphans’ Court (1935), Cambria County; appointed, Government Appeal Agent, Selective Service Board No. 1, Cambria County; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Democrat in 1932; reelected to the House in 1936, 1938, 1940, 1942, 1944, and 1946; appointed, Joint Legislative Committee on Public Library Services (1947-1948); not a candidate for reelection to the House (1934, 1948); died, October 13, 1979 in Cambria County, Pennsylvania; interred, Saint Michael Cemetery, Loretto, Cambria County, Pennsylvania.
