• Clarifies that this legislation does not affect any provision of the Construction Workplace Misclassification Act (Act 72 of 2010). • Amends the requirements for the affidavit to clarify that the independent contractor agrees to the implications of the registration. • Provides that an individual who is registered will not be eligible for UEGF benefits when working for the person who registered him – and includes a statement to that effect on the affidavit. • Adds additional prohibited acts (knowingly providing false information or knowingly withholding information to get an individual to waive their benefits) and clarifies that a violation will be considered an intention violation of Section 305 (a third degree felony). • Extends the effective date from 60 days to 180 days.
