| Brief Description |
This amendment rephrases the exemption for alternate refrigerants; allowing for the use of alternate refrigerants when a conflict with the current standards arise only if the refrigerant is permitted for use by the EPA and the refrigerant is listed and installed in accordance with requirements under the Clean Air Act.
The amendment also adds a sunset provision in which the exemption for alternate refrigerants expires when the Review and Advisory Council reviews and adopts the 2024 model codes developed by the International Code Council.
