Brief Description The amendment makes numerous editorial changes to clarify the intent of the bill. Among the most notable changes in the amendment are these: • The amendment includes enduring “brutality of a sexual nature” among the various forms of possible hazing. • The amendment adds to the offense of aggravated hazing an additional element that the defendant must have acted with reckless indifference to the health and safety of the minor or student, or must have coerced the minor or student to consume alcohol or drugs. • Extends asset forfeiture to those convicted of aggravated hazing as well as organizations convicted of organizational hazing.
