The amendment creates exceptions to provisions prohibiting an agency from taking action on an issue if the issue is not listed on the meeting agenda: • If the matter is brought to the agency’s attention during the 24 hours prior to the meeting or at the meeting, and the matter is de minimis in nature and does not involve an expenditure or a contract, the agency may take up the matter. • If the matter is brought to the attention of the agency during the meeting, the agency may take action to refer the matter to staff for further research and consideration as a future agenda item.
