Amends the Landlord and Tenant Act regarding disposition of abandoned personal property. It distinguishes between relinquishment of real property (i.e. the rental unit) and abandonment of personal property. This makes it clear that the provisions related to personal property have no effect on the tenant's rights or on the protections afforded to a tenant under the law with respect to eviction. It also expands the circumstances under which abandoned property may be discarded and it adds special provisions for the disposition of the property of a deceased tenant.
