AN ACT
Amending Titles 24 (Education) and 71 (State Government) of the
Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, in administration and
miscellaneous provisions relating to retirement for school
employees, providing for bills implementing supplemental
annuities; and, in administration, funds, accounts and
general provisions relating to retirement for State employees
and officers, providing for bills implementing supplemental
annuities.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Title 24 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
§ 8511. Bills implementing supplemental annuities.
A bill implementing a supplemental annuity under this part
may not be given second consideration by the Senate or House of
Representatives until after the deadline to submit the results
of the stress test of the system to the General Assembly under
section 8510(a) (relating to stress test of system), which is
conducted and completed by the board after the annual actuarial
valuation required by section 8502(j) (relating to

administrative duties of board) for the fiscal year in which the
bill is introduced.
Section 2. Title 71 is amended by adding a section to read:
§ 5910. Bills implementing supplemental annuities.
A bill implementing a supplemental annuity under this part
may not be given second consideration by the Senate or House of
Representatives until after the deadline to submit the results
of the stress test of the system to the General Assembly under
section 5909(a) (relating to stress test of system), which is
conducted and completed by the board after the annual actuarial
valuation required by section 5902(j) (relating to
administrative duties of the board) for the calendar year in
which the bill is introduced.
Section 3. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
