AN ACT
Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
Statutes, in powers of department and local authorities,
providing for municipal response database.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Title 75 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
ยง 6120. Municipal response database.
(a) Duty.--The department shall develop and publish on the
department's publicly accessible Internet website a database for
tracking communications from municipalities to a regional
office. The database shall contain the following information:
(1) the name of a municipality that contacts a regional
office;
(2) the location of the regional office that the
municipality contacted;
(3) a summary of why the municipality contacted the
regional office;

(4) a description of how the department responded to the
municipality; and
(5) a status indicating whether the issue about which
the municipality contacted the regional office was resolved.
(b) Updating database.--The department shall update the
database to add a new entry within 72 hours of a municipality
contacting a regional office about a new issue.
(c) Definitions.--As used in this section, the following
words and phrases shall have the meanings given to them in this
subsection unless the context clearly indicates otherwise:
"Regional office." An office of the department that oversees
programs and policies of the department in a district or
division, as provided for under section 2004 of the act of April
9, 1929 (P.L.177, No.175), known as The Administrative Code of
1929.
Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
