AN ACT
Amending the act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), entitled "An
act relating to the public school system, including certain
provisions applicable as well to private and parochial
schools; amending, revising, consolidating and changing the
laws relating thereto," in safe schools, further providing
for reporting.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Section 1303-A of the act of March 10, 1949
(P.L.30, No.14), known as the Public School Code of 1949, is
amended by adding a subsection to read:
Section 1303-A. Reporting.--* * *
(b.2) In addition to any other report required under this
section, no later than seventy-two (72) hours from an incident
of attempted suicide or committed suicide on school property, a
c hief school administrator shall report the incident to the
office. The report under this subsection shall not reveal any
identifying information of a student and shall meet the
requirements under 20 U.S.C. ยง 1232g (relating to family

educational and privacy rights) or its successor statute.

Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
