AN ACT
Amending Title 23 (Domestic Relations) of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes, in child protective services, further
providing for investigation of reports.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Section 6368(d) of Title 23 of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a paragraph to read:
ยง 6368. Investigation of reports.

(d) Investigative actions.--During the investigation, all of
the following shall apply:

(5) If there is evidence that impairment due to drug or
alcohol use is a contributing cause of alleged abuse or
neglect, the county agency may seek a court order to compel
appropriate drug or alcohol testing.

Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
