AN ACT
Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
Statutes, in licensing of drivers, further providing for
examination of applicant for driver's license.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Section 1508 of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read:
ยง 1508. Examination of applicant for driver's license.

(d.1) Traffic stop procedures.--
(1) The driver's manual shall include a section
outlining best practices and recommendations for a driver to
follow in the event the driver is stopped by a police
officer. The department may consult with the Pennsylvania
State Police, organizations that represent municipal police
departments, police officers or State troopers and any other
nonprofit entity deemed appropriate by the department that
focuses on traffic safety when developing the best practices

and recommendations required under this paragraph.
(2) The traffic laws examination administered by the
department under subsection (a) shall contain no less than
two questions regarding the best practices and
recommendations required under paragraph (1).
(3) Paragraph (2) shall only apply to applications made
under subsection (a) for Class C learner's permits or
driver's licenses.

Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
