AN ACT
Amending Title 66 (Public Utilities) of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes, in transportation network service,
further providing for transportation network company drivers.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Section 2605 of Title 66 of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding subsections to read:
ยง 2605. Transportation network company drivers.

(d) Proper driver credentials.--A driver for a
transportation network company serving customers in this
Commonwealth shall be provided a barcode or machine-readable
code by the transportation network company that is unique to
that driver, which shall be displayed on that driver's vehicle
in a manner visible and verifiable prior to entry of the vehicle
by any customer. The code shall link to the driver's credentials
on a publicly accessible Internet website hosted by the
transportation network company.

(e) Offense.--Any individual who falsely represents
themselves as a transportation network company's driver or fails
to present the credentials provided for under subsection (d)
shall be guilty of a misdemeanor of the second degree. Any
individual who falsely represents themselves as a transportation
network company's driver or fails to present the credentials
provided for under subsection (d), which results in harm to an
individual, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor of the first
degree.
Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
