AN ACT
Amending Title 61 (Prisons and Parole) of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes, in miscellaneous provisions relating
to inmate confinement, further providing for inmate uniforms.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Section 5903 of Title 61 of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
ยง 5903. Inmate uniforms.
While incarcerated, an inmate of a State correctional
institution shall wear identifiable prison uniforms and shall
not wear civilian clothing. An identifiable prison uniform may
not include boots.
Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
