AN ACT
Amending Title 61 (Prisons and Parole) of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes, in miscellaneous provisions relating
to inmate confinement, providing for inmate account
restriction.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Title 61 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
ยง 5908. Inmate account restriction.
An inmate of a correctional institution who assaults a
correctional facility or detention facility employee shall be
restricted from using the inmate account established under
section 3124 (relating to inmates accounts) for a period of time
as determined by the chief administrator.
Section 2. Any and all regulations are abrogated insofar as
they are inconsistent with this act.
Section 3. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
