AN ACT
Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes, in firearms and other dangerous
articles, further providing for licenses.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Section 6109(e) of Title 18 of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a paragraph to read:
ยง 6109. Licenses.

(e) Issuance of license.--
* * *
(1.1) An applicant shall complete a minimum of six hours
of a basic firearm training program with a certified firearms
instructor approved by the National Rifle Association before
a license is issued under this section.

Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
