A RESOLUTION
Designating June 5, 2020, as "Class of 2020 Day" in
Pennsylvania.
WHEREAS, Many graduation ceremonies across this Commonwealth
have been cancelled, postponed or held virtually due to the
COVID-19 pandemic; and
WHEREAS, The members of the class of 2020 have spent years in
school looking forward to walking across the stage and receiving
their diplomas; and
WHEREAS, Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, most, if not all,
2020 graduates will not get the opportunity to have a
traditional graduation ceremony; and
WHEREAS, The hard work and dedication that the students in
the class of 2020 have put toward earning their diplomas
deserves recognition; therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate designate June 5, 2020, as "Class
of 2020 Day" in Pennsylvania.
