A RESOLUTION
Recognizing the month of October 2019 as "Polish American
Heritage Month" in Pennsylvania and designating October 6,
2019, as "Pulaski Day" in Pennsylvania.
WHEREAS, The Senate commemorates the 1,053rd anniversary of
the documented history of Poland; and
WHEREAS, The Senate further commemorates the 411th
anniversary of Polish settlers arriving in the United States;
and
WHEREAS, This year marks the 400th anniversary of the Polish
settlers who organized the first labor strike at Jamestown,
Virginia, the 80th anniversary of the German invasion of Poland
and the 75th anniversaries of the battle of Monte Cassino and
the Warsaw Uprising; and
WHEREAS, The Senate joins in observing the 38th anniversary
of "Polish American Heritage Month," which highlights
individuals of Polish heritage who have contributed greatly to
global advancement and the growth of our nation and State; and
