AN ACT
Amending Title 74 (Transportation) of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes, in turnpike, further providing for
commission powers and duties.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Section 8107 of Title 74 of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read:
ยง 8107. Commission powers and duties.

(c) Toll and fare collectors.--
(1) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the
commission shall employ individuals as fare-collection
personnel and toll collectors at each facility designed for
the collection of cash for the payment of fares and tolls on
the Pennsylvania Turnpike. The number of individuals employed
as fare-collection personnel and toll collectors shall not be
fewer than the number of individuals employed by the
commission as fare-collection personnel and toll collectors

on June 1, 2020, and those individuals shall continue to be
employed in accordance with the same rights and interests
regarding pay and benefits for the duration of any collective
bargaining agreement applicable to their positions in effect
on June 1, 2020.
(2) Individuals who were involuntarily dismissed or
terminated on or after June 1, 2020, shall be reinstated to
their prior positions as fare-collection personnel and toll
collectors with the commission for the duration of the
collective bargaining agreement applicable to their positions
in effect on June 1, 2020, and shall be entitled to any wages
and benefits lost on or after the date of the dismissal or
termination.
Section 2. This act shall be retroactive to June 1, 2020.
Section 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
