AN ACT
Amending Title 74 (Transportation) of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes, in organization, further providing for
deputy secretaries.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Section 202(a) and (e) of Title 74 of the
Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes are amended and the section
is amended by adding a subsection to read:
ยง 202. Deputy secretaries.
(a) Appointment.--The secretary shall appoint the following
deputy secretaries:
(1) Deputy Secretary for Administration.
(2) Deputy Secretary for Driver and Vehicle Services.
(3) Deputy Secretary for Highway Administration.
(4) Deputy Secretary for Multimodal Transportation.
(5) Deputy Secretary for Planning.
(6) Deputy Secretary for Aviation.

(e) Multimodal transportation.--The Deputy Secretary for
Multimodal Transportation has the powers and duties of the
department under law relating to modes of transportation other
than highways, except recreational boating and ferry licensing,
including all of the following:
(1) Local and public transportation.
(2) Rail freight.
(3) Ports and waterways.
[(4) Aviation and airports.]

(g) Aviation.--The Deputy Secretary for Aviation has the
following powers and duties of the department under the law
relating to aviation, including all of the following:
(1) Airports.
(2) Air safety.
(3) The act of April 9, 1929 (P.L.177, No.175), known as
The Administrative Code of 1929.
(4) Part III (relating to aviation).
Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
