INTRODUCED BY SHUSTERMAN, MADDEN, BOBACK, BURNS, MILLARD, MURT,

GALLOWAY, HANBIDGE, SAMUELSON, GREEN, SONNEY, LONGIETTI,

MACKENZIE, SANCHEZ, MERSKI, HILL-EVANS, CIRESI, STRUZZI AND

businesses in this Commonwealth.

WHEREAS, Small Business Development Centers, first

established in this Commonwealth in 1980, offer free consulting

services and educational classes to entrepreneurs and small

business owners using one-on-one interactions to provide

education and consultations with skilled professional staff; and

WHEREAS, Currently, Small Business Development Centers are

located on 18 university or college-based centers, with the lead

office located at Kutztown University and 90 support outreach

centers located across this Commonwealth; and

WHEREAS, The centers are funded through a cooperative

agreement between the Federal Small Business Administration and

the Commonwealth, as well as donations from private citizens and

businesses; and

WHEREAS, Small Business Centers can continue to help small

businesses in this Commonwealth, the drivers of the economy, to

grow and foster new business; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives honor and

recognize the Small Business Development Centers in Pennsylvania

and their staff for the tremendous work they do in helping small
