A RESOLUTION
Recognizing Jay Sung, Osang Park, Bong Pil Yang and Sung Woong
Kim for their lifesaving and generous donation of personal
protective equipment to organizations and institutions in
Montgomery County during the global health pandemic.
WHEREAS, On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization
declared the novel coronavirus, known as COVID-19, a global
pandemic; and
WHEREAS, Montgomery County was one of the most impacted
counties in Pennsylvania when the COVID-19 outbreak struck this
Commonwealth; and
WHEREAS, Many institutions and organizations were in
desperate need of personal protective equipment (PPE); and
WHEREAS, During the height of the pandemic, four generous
individuals, Mr. Jay Sung, President of BOB International, Mr.
Osang Park, President of NYBEE, Inc., Master Bong Pil Yang,
General Secretary of 21st Century America-Korea-China Leaders
Society and Mr. Sung Woong Kim, President of Korean Vietnam War
Veterans Association PA, collectively donated over 40,000 pieces
of PPE; and

WHEREAS, As of October 13, 2020, Montgomery County has had
12,830 positive cases of COVID-19 and 890 deaths; and
WHEREAS, Without the donations of PPE from Mr. Sung, Mr.
Park, Master Yang and Mr. Kim, the number of positive cases and
deaths in Montgomery County would surely be higher; therefore be
it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives recognize Jay
Sung, Osang Park, Bong Pil Yang and Sung Woong Kim for their
lifesaving and generous donation of personal protective
equipment to organizations and institutions in Montgomery County
during the global health pandemic.
