A RESOLUTION
Designating the month of September 2020 as "Light the Night Walk
Month" in Pennsylvania.
WHEREAS, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) has a mission
focused on curing leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and
myeloma, and improving the quality of life for blood cancer
patients and their families; and
WHEREAS, LLS operates as the world's largest voluntary health
agency dedicated to blood cancer; and
WHEREAS, LLS funds lifesaving blood cancer research around
the world and provides free information and support services;
and
WHEREAS, As the largest nonprofit funder of cutting-edge
blood cancer research to advance cures, LLS has invested nearly
$1.3 billion in cancer research since its inception; and
WHEREAS, LLS's key priorities help to ensure that blood
